How to setup users to access the ERP

In order to change permission settings you must have permission to the "Control User Roles & Permissions" role. If you have not been assigned to this role please contact a system administrator. If you have been assigned to this role follow the steps below.

Determine which companies the user should have access to

  1. Gain access to the ERP main menu. To do this you must select the Finance feature on the TNI Control Panel. If you do not see the Finance feature on the TNI Control Panel contact a system administrator.
  2. Select the following from the top menu: Maintenance > Manage Permissions > Manage User Company Access
  3. The Manage User Company Access page shows all users and the companies they have access to. Filter the list by the user you are setting up to see if they already have permissions to each of the companies you want them to have access to.
  4. To add a new entry select the "Add a new entry" link at the top, then set the User and Company and press the Create button. You may set up additional companies for the first user after the first record is created. Click the Manage User Company Access link at the bottom when you wish to return.
  5. Use the pencil icon to edit an entry or the x icon to delete an entry.

Assign roles to the user

  1. User permissions are controlled by roles. Roles determine the pages users are able to see and/or edit and roles can also be set specific to certain companies or in the case of payroll departments specific to individual payroll ID's.
  2. Gain access to the ERP main menu. To do this you must select the Finance feature on the TNI Control Panel. If you do not see the Finance feature on the TNI Control Panel contact a system administrator.
  3. Select the following from the top menu: Maintenance > Manage Permissions > Assign Roles to a User.
  4. Select the user you wish to assign roles to. You may use the filter fields to narrow down the user list.
  5. Check or uncheck the roles as desired. Note that payroll related roles are near the bottom of the list.
  6. Click Save when you're done.
